(b 1861, 75 years old) Professor of English, specialist in New England folklore. Chairs of the English Department. Between his departmental responsibilities and his delicate temperament (following the Vermont nightmare) he now sends graduate students and junior faculty to gather folklore first-hand.
Thoughts about the Documents
Dr. Wilmarth led the initial meeting with the investigators on Thursday, August 23rd. He believes that Armitage may be suffering from a mental breakdown and creating the files himself. However, because of the differing views of the Inquiry, he agreed that an outside agency investigate the documents.
